Wedding kiss at the club at snoqualmie ridge

One of the best places for a Seattle wedding photography is at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge. Indeed, the unrivaled setting in the shadows of the Cascade Mountains gave our beautiful couple a peaceful, fairytale-vibe wedding. Very much, wedding in the Swiss Alps vibes with an effortless, country club feel makes this a wondeful Snoqualmie Ridge Wedding venue.

This was my first time shooting a wedding at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge. The staff and team on site were excellent, getting us all taken care of. Especially considering this was a covid wedding/covid elopement.

K+J originally planned to have a larger wedding. Much like every other couple planning their celebrations under the cloud of Covid-19, were forced to downsize and adjust their guest lists to fit local mandates. The silver lining here? Only their very closest friends and family were in attendance, which sometimes can be even more special and ceremonial than a big ol’ party.

Fun and unique things they included in their wedding day:

  • swapping out a normal cake topper for custom bridal Barbie and Ken dolls. (a running joke amongst their friends is that J looks like a Ken doll himself. K then got a Barbie that looked like her as well)
  • a sweet, intimate first look with the jaw-dropping Cascade mountains as their backdrop.
  • private letter exchange and reading during their first look.
  • custom bride and groom, gold-embossed wedding stationary
  • in keeping with her low key style, the bride opted to do her own hair and makeup.

The gorgeous florals, including boutonnieres, bouquets, and a wedding arch were designed and installed by Trill Flora. They incorporated greenery, roses, and springtime florals. Along with a romantic blue, orange, pink, and white color scheme with lots of eucalyptus.

Special shout out to the Washington wedding vendors that made this day extra special:

“Like the procrastinator I am, I totally dropped the ball and did not even start to find a wedding photographer until way too late. Luckily, Chelsea fell from the heavens and not only had our wedding date available but was also prepared to do an initial meeting with us the same day we reached out (on New Years Eve no less). What else can I say about Chelsea other than that she is FANTASTIC.

We were having a small, COVID friendly wedding that I was planning myself and she offered us so many fun ideas that brought our wedding to the next level. Have you ever been to a wedding where every single guest commented on how great the photographer was? It was like she was part of the family, and honestly, I didn’t even care what the photos looked like because she was just incredible to have around.

The photos of course though, were gorgeous. Chelsea is so talented, and she completely captured the light, beachy aesthetic that we were going for. If I ever need a photographer in the future, she will be my first call. And she should be yours too!!”

Pro tips: Always take time throughout your wedding day to just be by yourselves, breathe, and take in the moment. Wedding days fly by in an instant and I always love to help my couples find a bit of quiet in the busy. K+J took a moment to quietly hold one another and look out at the Cascade Mountains before heading to their private dinner reception.

If you’re looking to have a Washington wedding in the Cascades without having to hike, this is a perfect option. Moreover, weddings at the Club at Snoqualmie Ridge are able to make use of two getting ready rooms, one private downstairs, and the board room upstairs for both spouses to get ready on site. There is also ample parking and the venue itself is less than an hour outside downtown Seattle.

You can view their website here for more information on the Club itself. Additionally, you can go here for information specifically on weddings and events.
